Frederick is a Resident-in-Counseling with the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. He obtained his Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Liberty’s integrated program allowed Frederick to pursue comprehensive study of behavioral psychology and counseling, while growing stronger in the Christian faith.
Frederick uses an eclectic blend of techniques to provide services to individuals and families. In addition to studying core evidence based therapy modalities, he has received training in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment Theory, assessment, trauma interventions, and crisis interventions. Recently, Frederick has also become greatly interested in providing services to children and teenagers diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He is a member of Eden Counseling Center’s “Child Team,” which uses collaboration as a means of strengthening and refining skills used to counsel children and their parents.
