Dr. Dickerson was raised in a home that was very active in ministry to children and the poor. She brings two generations of wisdom into her practice, which continues to help children, and families who have special needs. She is an expert in Parent Child Interaction Therapy, which is helping parents of special needs children quickly learn critical parenting skills. Children become more kind, calm and helpful in response to this treatment. Dr. Dickerson is also the author of Practical Parenting Solutions, a parent training program that can be taught be lay leaders in the church. PPS teaches parents practical solutions to everyday parenting situations. Dr. Dickerson completed her Doctor of Psychology degree from Regent University in 2001.
